SUNSHINE COAST HOME RENOVATION
Azalea Residence
Azalea Residence is a 1990s Sunshine Coast home reimagined for its owner, a home made distinctly her own, with a contemporary aesthetic balanced by warmth, earthy tones, natural textures and relaxed coastal influences.
The Design Story
A Considered Approach
The transformation begins at the front façade, where the entrance and exterior were refreshed to create a more inviting arrival and a stronger connection to the renewed landscape.
Designed for Effortless Entertaining
Throughout the home, thoughtful planning has created a more cohesive and functional way of living. The kitchen was redesigned for effortless entertaining, with a dedicated coffee and drinks station positioned within the kitchen and dining area.
The new layout connects naturally with the patio and multiple outdoor seating areas, extending entertaining into the relaxed coastal setting.
Thoughtful Planning, Throughout
Inside, the existing layout was thoughtfully reworked. A walk-in pantry was created from the former walk-in robe, while a generous main bedroom robe was custom designed. Bathrooms and laundry were refined with tactile Microstone finishes, bringing warmth, texture and a considered materiality to these functional spaces.
Custom sheers, supplied by The Linen Room at Sage Interior Design & Decor, soften the main bedroom and beautifully frame the outlook beyond.
Connected to the Outdoors
Outside, the pool area and patio were refreshed, while renewed landscaping creates a more inviting connection between the home and garden. Bee-friendly ground cover was incorporated to support the client’s love of beekeeping, bringing purpose and personality to the landscape.
The result is a home that feels contemporary yet grounded, personal, warm and relaxed, with spaces designed around entertaining, enjoying the outdoors and embracing a new chapter of living.
From existing spaces to a home entirely its own.
