MERMAID WATERS

Esprit de Vie | Later Life Living
At Esprit de Vie Later Life Living in Mermaid Waters, Sage Interior Design & Decor created a refined window furnishing solution that brings warmth, sophistication and a touch of vibrancy to the shared living spaces and care rooms.
Drawing inspiration from mid-century modern style, the design combines contemporary comfort with carefully considered curtain treatments that enhance the expansive waterfront setting.
The Design Story

Creating comfort around the view.
The apartment’s waterfront outlook was an important part of the experience, but the spaces also needed to respond to the harsh western sun, glare and the changing needs of everyday living.
The design focused on creating flexibility, allowing natural light to be softened throughout the day while providing privacy, sun control and the ability to completely change the atmosphere when needed.
Softening the Natural Light
The installation features elegant pinch pleat curtains from Sage’s latest collection, selected for their soft texture and flowing drape.
The sheers filter the natural light beautifully, bringing warmth and softness into the living spaces while maintaining a connection to the expansive waterfront views.

Designed for Flexible Living
Behind the sheers, discreet blockout blinds provide an additional layer of privacy and sun control.
This layered approach allows the spaces to adapt throughout the day — from open and light-filled to more private and intimate when required.
Warmth, Colour and Texture
The interiors are enhanced with a warm and vibrant colour palette, layering rich upholstery tones with bold accents to create spaces that feel both luxe and homely.
The curtain fabrics add another layer of texture, complementing the furnishings and architectural details while creating a sense of warmth throughout the shared living areas.

A warmer, calmer approach to waterfront living.
